of project) Audience Development Marin History Museum Oakland Museum of California Community Involvement Exhibit Envoy (California Exhibition Resources Alliance) Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco launched the Asian American Audience Development Committee (AAADC) to assist and advise on issues related to programming and promotion of the Asian/American/Modern Art: Shifting Currents: 1900 – 1970 and Maya Lin exhibitions and programs. After these exhibitions closed, FAMSF Education and Public Programming staff engaged Margaret Kadoyama Consulting to conduct qualitative focus group research with the Asian American Audience Development Committee to encourage Committee members’ and community members’ longer term involvement with the Museum. The research included interviews with key Education and Public Programs staff to learn from their experiences and perspectives, and a focus group with members of the Asian American Audience Development Committee. The research resulted in a report with recommendations.
