of project) Audience Development Marin History Museum Oakland Museum of California The Oakland Museum of California, as part of its commitment to serving its community, embarked on an audience research and development initiative. The Initiative was conducted in three phases, and included interviews of key staff, review of 22 existing studies about OMCA visitors and other audience development literature, research and comparison of Census data for target counties, and qualitative research with seven focus groups of non-visitors. As the Project Manager for this Initiative, Margaret Kadoyama Consulting oversaw all phases and created the report with recommendations for an Audience Development Plan.
